LePotentiel    a real disaster. Hundred sixty of the 200
passengers who traveled on board of an Iliouchine 76, have been inhaled
in the emptiness above the province of the Kasaï occidental.  The device,
a charter militaire, transportait of the Police's members of inter -
fast vention (PIR) and their families between Kinshasa and Lubumbashi.
He/it was to the half of his/her/its journey and crossed to a few 7000 feet
(2.200 meters) of altitude, when one of the doors of the cabin is himself
broken
KINSHASA (AFP) - The door of rear locker of the Iliouchine 76 occupies

KINSHASA, (AFP)     has the precedents main Russian plane accidents in Congo:
- January 8, 1996: RDCONGO - An Antonov-32 freighter overloaded misses his/her/its takeoff and collapse on a market
close to the downtown of Kinshasa. Officially, the accident makes 365 deaths, but according to Congolese sources, more,
of 800
people are shredded by the helixes or are crushed by the plane.

- April 19, 2000: RDCONGO - An Antonov-8, transporting some weapons for the rebels in the border between the RDC,
and Zambia, collapse in Pepa (south of the Katanga), making 26 deaths.

- August 12, 2000: RDCONGO - 26 people perish in the crash of an Antonov-26 in Kimpangua, close to Tshikapa,
(Western Kasaï).
